After a slow start where 2 and at times 3 extra defenders made clean forward entries difficult, we were able to register 22 goals after quarter time but more pleasingly, restrict our opposition to just two behinds in the second half.
Looking beyond the score line, there were plenty of positives to be taken away including the addition of Mark Smith who worked nicely in tandem with Scott Gumbleton, 40+ possession games from both Kieran Malone and Dan Kelly (the former also kicking 3 goals) as well as terrific performances by small forwards Adam Barclay and Riley Loton who contributed 7 goals between them and created many other opportunities for their teammates.
A spread of 11 goal kickers showcased what was from start to finish a solid team performance and we now look forward to another big week on the track before hosting our inaugural meeting with Laurimar this weekend.
